One major worry in the United States economy today is that the Federal Reserve inactivity may be a sign of something else. The Federal Reserve may be “out of bullets”, so to speak.

According to CNNMoney.com, markets in the U.S. are poised to carry over that negative performance into a lackluster morning. Investors seem unwilling to push for more trade volume before housing data is released later in the day.

Flat Morning Expected for Stocks

According to Reuters, index futures were little changed coming into the opening bell Friday morning, meaning markets may be flat for much of the morning. One factor that could lead to weak trading is an indication that slowing global economic growth could create a lag in oil demand.

Stocks Retreat on Jobs Report

The trading day on Wednesday could not have possibly been less impressive on Wall Street. Unfortunately for investors, trading today is even worse. Wall Street opened higher at 9 a.m. this morning, but those quick gains were short-lived.
